1.1.Puppet

A teacher may use teaching aids such as puppet and. By using puppet can be used as one way to teach students in speaking subject. Puppet means the media which is made to show the character. Puppet is a highly effective and dynamically creative means of exploring the richness of interpersonal communication (Sinclair: 1995:67) We can make it by ourselves. Using this media will make the students become creative. Teaching English to children (Young Learners) requires a well-planned strategy so that students are motivated to learn. Teachers can create things that make students interested visually first to further lead them to the material to be taught. Scott and Ytreberg (1990) explain, “Their own understanding comes through hands and eyes and ears. The physical world is dominant at all times.” Dressing and decorating puppets require imagination. Each puppet must become a character through its costume and through the way it is decorated or painted. Story telling can be made very interesting with the help of different puppets to receive the right kind of response from the kids.  In Boeriswati’s research (2013),  was found that puppet encourage students to speak, be confidence, be more interested in learning. It was also found that puppet was colorful, fun and could enrich students imagination. Students were be able to do simulating on how they live in the society coming from different ethnicity, race, religion, class, social status and economic background. Supporting statement also states by Korosec (2002) in Brezigar (2010) who says that “It is incredible to see how the children trust the puppet. They believe that puppet sleeps, that it watches over them, that it learns together with them, that it listens to them.
